I've got to move closer to an Office Max

So, the only places nearby to get office supplies (for me) are Office Depot and Target. I quit going to Target when they started ripping on bloggers, which obviously leaves Office Depot.

I'm having major Office Depot issues.

Keyboard dusting spray should not be so expensive. Also, Office Depot only carries one brand - their own. Lame. It's almost half the cost at Office Max.

Ink: Oh my gosh. You do not want to know about my ink issues. First of all, I head in to refill my ink cartridges. Huh? We don't do refills notes the salesperson (once I found a salesperson) in the mostly empty store. So, no refillable ink. I really needed ink though, so I decide to go with a regular cartridge. However, prices are high, so I think, well, I'll try the Office Depot brand. I've used the Office Max brand and never had an issue, so theoretically this plan will work.

Sigh. Office Depot ink is terrible. I highly DO NOT recommend it. Here's what I'm using: Office Depot Brand Model 56 (C6656A) Remanufactured Black Inkjet Cartridge.

I don't know if I got a gimp cartridge or what, but man. Usually I don't trust any ink to be perfectly smear free - that's just ink, you deal with it. What I do is use a decent ink ready paper, and leave what I print out alone for a while before I mess with it. That does not work with the Office Depot brand ink cartridge I got. I print stuff out, leave it to sit (for hours), then I barely look at it and it smears all over the place. Am I frustrated - why yes.

2007fruGreenBook-thumb.jpgNow, I could have got an odd broken cartridge, but overall, because I'm mad, I'm just going to say skip the Office Depot brand ink. If you must go to an Office Depot try another brand.

Lastly, at the Office Depot near me, the people seemingly know nothing about office anything. In any case, I'm annoyed.

Maybe stay away from the store altogether and stick to their Green Book - the green book rocks. Frankly I'm shocked that I'm having so many other issues with them. But, it is what it is. Next time I move, I'm making darn sure I live near an Office Max, or a cool local office store.
