I just realized something. In a previous post I noted who should have a blog for their office or business, and said I’d be back with benefits. Well, I completely spaced it. Sorry about that – my bad. In any case, we can still look at how a blog can benefit your office.
Following are three of the best six benefits that a business blog can provide. Later on we’ll look at three other great benefits.
Two-Way Conversations
Business blogs allow for two-way conversations between a business and customers. While customers visit a website to look or buy, they'll often visit a blog with the intention of communicating. You want customers to communicate with you. Customer feedback is priceless, and a business blog allows for instant customer feedback. Not only does a blog create a two-way conversation, but the conversation is ongoing. At least ongoing as long as the blog exists.
Instant Sharing of Company Information
A blog allows you to share information now, right this second. Breaking news, new products, recalls, and company changes can all be shared instantly on a blog. A blog is far less static than a basic website, and customers know it.
Authority
You may be the smartest public speaking consultant around, but does anyone know that? A blog can make your company a known expert in a field. Once you post enough quality content, people will consider you a superior source of information for your business niche. Being known as an authority will gain you new customers, and it keeps existing customers confident in your abilities. Building authority is where blogs become an extra powerful tool for people who work as trainers, consultants, and other knowledge-service careers.
This time I really will be back with the rest of the tips (soon) :)
