Sorry guys, but this new company is just for the girls. Kerensa Anncel, a former executive turned designer, has recently released a new product - the Office-In-A-Box system.
The product goal is to make office life easy and a bit more fashionable. Each system includes quite a few office supplies - not quite enough to create an entire office setting, but close. There are enough colors and designs available to satisfy the majority of women on the planet - or so it seems. Right now, I'll go see if I find one that I myself like.
I clicked on the Modern Trendy Desk Sets - you know I like mod. I did actually find a set I like, but I'm not sure I like it that much. Here, I'll show it, and then explain.
The sets come with:
- Deluxe desk pad or a photo/memo board for your office wall. (That's a nice touch because I hate big desk pads).
- Business Card Holder
- Pencil Cup
- Letter Size File Tray
- Waste Basket
- Lamp Shade
- Mouse Pad
About the items:
"Deluxe desk pads are trimmed in your favorite color with puresoft vinyl for a soft, luxurious, leather-like feel. You have the option of leather arm pads for an additional fee. See the different color options under the "Trim Options" category. The surface is covered with scratch resistant styrene providing a non-reflective, anti-static and anti-bacterial surface that reduces writing fatigue."
It's a cool design - the downside is that it's a lot of that one design. I'm not sure if it would be too much. I'm erring on the side of yes, it would be. I think this set would be nicer if it was evened out with some solids too.
Each of the sets is the same - meaning they all feature the same design through and through. However, it appears that Office-In-A-Box offers custom options. You could try buying two sets with a girlfriend and then mixing or matching the two - many of the sets would go nicely together. Or you could see if they'd be willing to mix and match items.
This is, I think, a good way to accessorize your office in no time flat though. There are also company logo and photo sets available. Designs vary as well; everything from floral to food themed to whimsical.

Oh, one warning, I'm thinking the website is brand new - there were a few glitches. Nothing that should keep you from the site, but it's not completely user ready yet. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they're new (so should you).

Innovation and creativity are clearly the by-products of the work environment you place yourself in each day. When your assets are intellectual property it is even more important that you invest in a home work environment that generates as much innovation and creativity as possible. Once I decided to purchase discount office furniture for my home office my business has been on a very positive trajectory.
