How to create a better office environment with furniture, supplies, and products

I think, that along with the normal office posts here, we'll start a daily (or so) green office supply post. Maybe show a new green product once a day. Greening your office can be a really slick goal to set for the New Year. Why? Well....

To save money: Reusable, refillable, longer lasting products can save your office money. Some of these costs are long-term based; like changing out your light bulbs or replacing windows. In the long run you'll save money on your energy bills. Some green office supplies offer shorter time range returns; like refillable pens instead of disposable or using both sides of your paper products.

To set your office apart from the herd: Not all offices care about going green. Research shows that consumers like green companies better. Research also shows that employees want to work for green companies. If your company chooses this path it's an added perk for your publicity items, your profile, and your company benefits.

To hug the planet: Sure there are few actual company benefits that come with caring for the earth. However, for good health, a reduction in greenhouse gases, and clean air and water, we do need to consider greening our spaces. We spend a lot of time at work, so it's reasonable to start greening our office and other work spaces.
