The other day I posted about your office being able to market while still on a decent budget. The basics were to use the web to your advantage. Oddly, all I've seen all week are articles about marketing online popping up everywhere. Must be that time of year. This obviously shows just how popular the web is for companies of all sizes.
The newest issue of Revenue has a really cool related article - not even so much an article, but some facts about successful business execs and how much of their success seems to be related to their Internet use and media savvy.
Some points you might want to consider about successful execs and their web activities include...
- Over 2/3 read business info online as opposed to a few years ago.
- Over 3/4 relate that a website is an important aspect in offering company info.
- 7 out of 10 execs get a daily email or newsletter alert each month.
- A bit over half have been online in the last 24 hours.
Again, I'm starting to think that the importance of being plugged in and tuned in to what's going happening online is incredibly crucial for businesses. You have to stay informed to stay ahead in any business and with more and more research showing that people are staying informed online - where news can be posted as it happens, means that if you don't get web-savvy now, you'll be missing out.
