It’s feeling like a slow news day – maybe because it’s the weekend before Christmas. A lot of people are posting more fun and less serious. There is some news of course, but overall a slowish weekend. Thus less serious weekend reading recommendations.
Business Week has how to make your dream job come true – something I think we’d all like the perfect answer to. This piece can’t answer all the questions but it’s a nice start.
For real last minute shoppers PC World has, Five Guilt-Free Gadgets for Kids. This list is great, with something for tracking memories at number five and the ultimate cool kid gift at number two (really neat).
Find out what people think about not meeting your new boss until after you sign onto the team. It’s not looking good.
Fortune has what may be one of the most fun lists of the season – the Top Tech Flops of 2007. From toilets that catch fire to John Mackey (yikes), to WikiScanner this list will bring some weekend humor to your life.
And last but not least another list. Yup lists are everywhere; in fact, one might even call this a list. But I digress, this list from WIRED is super slick with tunes to do everyday stuff to. For example, when you are, “Taping your glasses back together” Listen to "Fix It by Grizzly Bear.” Lots more from where this came from too.
Have a fun Saturday.
