Remember my post a couple weeks ago about the brand new Office Depot Green Book? Well, I just got mine in the mail the other day and I have to say this book is such a great resource. I absolutly recommend ordering one for your own office.
There are many cool aspects of this Green Book. I didn't expect to be so impressed because frankly I already get the National Green Pages and my local ReDirect Guide so it's not like I'm, missing a whole lot of green in my world. However, I think that this is an excellent guide for offices to have around.
The front inner flap is great. They show a view into a green-minded office set-up. With important points highlighted; such as the Genoa Series furniture collection, green cleaning supplies, energy star monitors, and even the little touches like pens made from recycled car headlights.
The checklists I mentioned in the previous post are worthwhile as well. After answering basic questions about your office you'll end up with your own green score and helpful hints (in case your score is a tad low).
Other perks:
- The catalog is split into all the typical categories that you'd expect from an office shopping guide so it's simple to navigate.
- There is an easy to follow "At a glance" page that discusses the easy to spot icons throughout the catalog such as reduced chemical exposure, rechargable, and greenguard.
- A top twenty product list -- this list covers where your money is best spent on green items. Such as the items that make the most overall difference.
