October’s issue of WIRED had a blurb about such a great work bag from Eclipse Solar Gear. I’m actually surprised because I haven’t heard of this company before. Guess I don’t know everything (ha).
Eclipse Solar Gear bags are great for office workers on the go who want to stay charged. Or if your boss is super nice you could pick one up for Boss Day!
This messenger bag will hold your laptop, cell phone, pda, and has an extra large pocket for files, folders, books, and other office necessities. There are side pockets as well and a cool front organizer for pens (yeah pens). We’ve seen messenger bags before though. I myself own one that I love and maybe you love your bag too. But guess what this bag can do?

“The front flap features a light-weight, flexible, integrated solar charging module which can be utilized by using a common 12V automotive charging adapter made specifically for the brand and type of personal electronics you own. Using a cell phone as an example, you can trickle charge the cell phone battery during casual commutes to work.”
So, the panel on this bag won’t charge a laptop but it sure will charge your smaller electronics. That is just so cool. At $170 it costs a great deal more than a typical bag but is a steal when you consider the benefits.
The "Solar Flare"TM is much like the Fusion but I like the blue color better. It’s also less expensive but I’m not sure why because it seems to have the same features. I believe the solar panel on the first bag is a bit better. But still, both bags are cool and would work well for most busy office workers.
