King of the office world Steelcase released a new cubicle last year. And this is not just any old cubicle.
Unless you categorize, “Any old cubicle” as a velvety red plushy dream space which is exactly what Steelcase is served up with the Studio 53. The Studio 53 was originally a concept piece at last year’s NeoCon but people loved it and wanted it in their own offices.
Studio 53 doesn’t even have room for a desk or computer so to call it a cubicle is a bit off but you could use a space like this for meetings or meditation. I suppose it would take up less room and money than adding a whole relaxation room to the office landscape.
Studio 53 is just one of the special cubicles currently being featured by Business Week in a Slide Show for their article, Cubicle 2.0. A great read on all accounts. Perfect for curing the office blahs. One of their featured cubicles resembles a human rat race and another is a space age looking geometrical dream.
