
The American Psychological Association (APA) is reporting that numerous workers won’t be able to switch off the stress of their everyday working world and simply relax on Labor Day.
The first official Labor Day was way back in 1882 and of course people found it easier to relax back then. There were no instant connection to the office via the internet, no cell phone in your pocket ringing, no interruptions – just lemonade and peaceful relaxing non-work bliss. No more though.
One might argue that technology has increased our options and productivity along with out information gathering techniques but has it increased happiness and health?
Likely not; according to the APA, “Job stress costs
If you do have to work tomorrow or simply believe I’ve gone off my nut by suggesting an alternative to work (that would be not work folks) than maybe you could use some distressing tips.
