My old reliable favorite site, C-NET recently covered a story about
Solis is a pretty cool company that deals in solar systems. They recently introduced a portable system that will allow for uninterrupted power for Wi-Fi routers.
There are so many bonuses to a deal like this that it’s hard to know where to start but the new Solis systems offer clean energy (obviously) that can provide a router with the power to go go go for seven days – even during cloudy periods.
It’s inexpensive, easy to install, and made to stand up to the elements. Did I mention the part about clean energy! You know when you use solar for work or home it helps to save the planet by cutting down on all kinds of big baddies (greenhouse gases).
Visit Solis Energy to learn more about keeping your business (any sized business) running in spite of Mother Nature (and with her help). Also the Solis site is just a fun visit, colorful and interesting to read even if you aren’t looking to charge up the office.

A useful post following the recent outages - which won't be the last. But remember that these are describing stand alone systems. If your solar power system is connected to the local grid, it is likely your solar power will stop powering your home if the grid goes down. If you are in this situation - or thinking about insalling such a system - check out with your installer or local utility how you will be affected next time the grid takes a summer break!.
