I LOVE new pens!
Office Max has a brand new sleek series of exclusive TUL office writing tools. The new line is ultra modern looking and if it works well is a great deal. We’re talking a 17 Permanent Marker set in assorted colors for under $15. That is a great deal if you compare it to my ever favorite Sharpies in assorted colors.
Also right now if you buy any TUL items you get double dollars on the product on your MaxPerks card! Holy.
It appears that TUL shares its home page with Office Max. It’s pretty slick though. They have a fun free handwriting assessment and of course product info.
- Nice chunky highlighters
- Gel pens
- Mechanical pencils
- Dry-Erase Eraser (I like the eraser!)
- TUL Dry Erase Markers
- Ballpoints
- And more
Most of the TUL writing tools (minus a few) have a signature loop at the top which I suppose makes them easy on the go.
Personally I can’t see me hanging them on a ring and then hanging them from my belt or something because that would be frankly, sort of dorky on me (but still, nice look).
Also the 17 permanent pen sets have packaging that turns in to a storage unit.

While I do agree that the Tul pen line is uniquue, I have had problems with the design. I have purchased (2) 5 packs of the Ballpoint retractable pen. In both packs that I purchased, I have experienced the same problem. The lower end of the pen comes off and the spring and inner parts come out. I have trouble keeping them together. Even after putting all the parts back inside and screwing on the end, the same thing happens. It is as though the end does not ever screw back on tight, such as the threads are stripped at that point. Basically I have just given Office Max my money because I have not been able to use these pens, they are in the trash. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem. I won't buy any more of this style and hesitate to purchase any other style of Tul pens in fear that there is something mechanically wrong with them as well. Too bad, I did like the look and feel of the pen.
