Do you need the new fangled iPod nano with video at the office? Well, I don’t know that you ‘need’ one but it sure could make the office workday a bit brighter. I tend to work better with music so productivity wise I’d say give it a go.
The new iPod nano is super slick, but looks like it has gained some bulk due to the larger video screen; still, carrying it around in you pocket at work is going to be no problem – you can’t carry that desk top radio to lunch now can you.
It comes in an array of colors which likely won’t affect your workday although looking at the dazzling colors of the new Nano might inspire you to get moving.
The new iPod allows you to supposedly watch millions of free videos on the screen thanks to Wi-Fi capabilities. Space well, live blogs are reporting, that “A 4GB and an 8GB version are available. The 4GB version will come in silver, the 8GB will come in all the colors. The 4GB will be priced at just $149. The 8GB version will be just $199." 8GB holy, does anyone need that much iPod space? 22 hours of audio battery and 5 hours video playback lets you get through a couple of workdays without having to recharge – the iPod, not you. I still suggest sleep and meals to get your own battery going full speed.
If you want to see more about the huge deal that is the iPod nano check out Engadget – they’ve got techy Steve Jobs blogging live about the iPod to keep consumers in the know, up to the minute on what’s new with photos galore and all the specs. Steve is a funny, funny guy even if you could care less about the new nano it’s worth a visit for all the wit.
The new iPod nano is set to debut in stores this weekend. If you really want one you can take a lawn chair and go get in line now I believe. That should give you a somewhat head start.
