If you like football.
I however, will never understand why people get paid so much to throw around a ball and body slam each other like there's no tomorrow. I'd rather go shopping for the tiny pink pencil erasers than watch football.
And, I'm fairly certain that NFL is a productivity time waster. Office worker are slacking off looking up the NFL network channel line up instead of completing projects.
Screams of delighted workers hollering, "Are you ready for some football!" have taken over what was once proper watercooler conversations. Egad.
I say we revolt against all things NFL related! Are you with me?
No? Wait, am I in the minority?
Okay... (sigh) I aim to please. Keep reading to see some office related NFL season news.
I'll give the game of football this; some of the players do some good things for the world. As they should. My favorite team player is the Miami Dolphins All-Pro Defensive End Jason Taylor. I can't believe I just used "Defensive End" in a sentence. Still, Taylor is a champ when it comes to charity work.
In July 2004, Taylor and his wife, Katina, established the Jason Taylor Foundation. The Foundation's mission "Is to support and create programs that facilitate the personal growth and empowerment of South Florida's children in need by focusing on improved health care, education and quality of life." Very cool. And his program has been successful too. Helping kids through programs like, Big Screens-Big Dreams, Cool Gear for the School Year, the Jason Taylor Children's Learning Center and Jason Taylor Scholars, among others.
Now Taylor's Foundation is teaming up with the Office Depot Foundation to help even more kids. The new Sack Pack program collaboration includes Office Depot contributing $25,000 as well as computers, backpacks and school supplies to Taylor's Foundation; which is pretty cool all on it's own, but there's more. For each and every sack of an opposing quarterback that the Miami Dolphins All-Pro Defensive End makes during the 2007-2008 NFL season, the Office Depot Foundation will donate $1,000 more. I say go... Dolphins!
It's a great cause and almost makes me wish that I loved football with all my little heart and soul. It honestly doesn't. But it does make me very happy to see football and office supplies team up for kids. That, in my book is the most winning play of all.
For more information visit the Jason Taylor Foundation or the Office Depot Foundation.
So, tell me... Are you ready for some football?

Good post! Secretly I'm kind of with you about the pink pencil erasers, but I know that there are people who will rearrange their lives around these games.
