
CNET is reporting on just about the coolest thing ever – the biodegradable laptop. According to CNET this new laptop, the Fujitsu LifeBook has a biodegradable chassis.
The good: Toss this chassis, made from a plastic made from cornstarch instead of petroleum in a landfill and it will biodegrade away in months.
The bad: You won’t find it on the Fujitsu website just yet. This amazing idea is only available in
I wish they had items available now.
But I trust CNET. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, CNET has yet to steer me wrong and they note that American and Europe are sure to see green computer items like this and that, “The cost of bio-plastic will also decline as companies like Cereplast and agricultural bigwigs like Archer Daniels Midland expand production.”
I know CNET is usually right. I absolutely hope so this time.
