We've all heard of Office Max perk cards; I have one, you have one (if not you should get one, you'll earn rewards and special coupons just by shopping for supplies!).
In June Office Max introduced a whole new level to perk customers -- the ability to earn points for recycling.
The steps to contribute to this program are simple.
- Order your collection materials.
- Collect ink and laser cartridges and cell phones from co-workers at the office.
- Mail in the items you've collected (Office Max provides a pre-paid mailer).
- Earn rewards! Every collected cell and cartridge earns you points.
There's likely some fine print (there always is) such as
non-qualified products but it looks like there are many items you can send in. Plus they make it easy to spread the recycle word by letting you download posters about the program.
The typical Max reward is 1%-2% depending on how much you spend at Office Max. This new recycle reward program contributes $3.00 per item to your rewards. Not bad.
