How to create a better office environment with furniture, supplies, and products

Hello, I'm the new Office Stuffer blogger and am thrilled to be your new tour guide into the wonderful world of office supplies. It'll be an exciting trip. 

I'm "that" person. You know, that person who always has eight extra pens on her, that person who knows which sales are happening down at the office shop, that person with three home computers, plus a pda, and four organizers. That person with six filing cabinets. You think I'm kidding don't you? Sadly I'm really not.

While some may find "that" person annoying, I assure you I'm not because I always share. I'll be sharing information about office furniture, paper, office design, business cards, lighting, printers, software, office bargains, and most likely some obsessive information about OSHA ergonomic office safety, Sharpies and personal planners (three of my fave topics). 

I currently work full-time as a freelance writer which means (gasp) that I foot the bill for all my own office supplies. Think this has stopped me from grabbing the latest and greatest stuff? Hint: the answer's not yes. Before this I spent years out in the real world of offices as a social worker. Non-profits with their low office supply budgets taught me to hunt for the best deals under the sun and how to find freebies too. I've dealt with adequate offices, happy offices, offices you want to blow up, car offices, and more. 

Don't worry I don't spend all my time stalking office stuff; I'm well-rounded. Among other projects, I write about offbeat homes and hippie music at b5media and chat with pregnant families and new parents at Pregnancy & Baby. I've also been known to enjoy a daily Frisbee round or two with my six year old son.   

You'd never know it but I actually don't love writing little bios about myself.
