
A study conducted by the American Pet Products Manufacturing Association (APPMA) found that 73 percent of companies surveyed reported that pets in the office increased productivity, lowered absenteeism, improved communication between workers, and even made employees more creative. In an ironic twist, the authors noted that "all the things that management classes try to improve were greatly helped by the presence of pets...and when asked which was more effective, management classes were rated a distant second." Ha ha.

Barbra, thanks for the reminder to step back and let nature have its way in the workplace in this manner. People who have pets would agree that it does something good to have a friend around who always seems to be there for you when you are less than a friend yourself that day! What do you say to those who suffer alergies that are triggered by animals in their workplace?
