How to create a better office environment with furniture, supplies, and products

Barbra, thanks for the reminder to step back and let nature have its way in the workplace in this manner. People who have pets would agree that it does something good to have a friend around who always seems to be there for you when you are less than a friend yourself that day! What do you say to those who suffer alergies that are triggered by animals in their workplace?

Hmm...I think this depends on what pet you have. A pet snake would probably lower the productivity rate.

Dogs were also used in hospitals and there were also findings that the presence of dogs help patients become better. I guess there might also be some benefits to bringing dogs to the workplace.

I suppose this would work for trained dogs or cats who doesn't run around and eat your annual report which was due yesterday.

Seoph, you are quite right: it reallly depends on the type of pet. There aren't many people who would enjoy a snake in the office! Other complications include barking and allergies (as Ellen mentioned). Also, a surprising number of people have dog or cat phobias. Does anyone have ideas on how to address the allergy, barking and phobia issues that might arise?
