In "Record Conference Calls: Step by Step Instructions Part 1" I showed you how to 1) get a free bridge line (conference calling line), and 2) choose between two excellent recording services.
Now I'll explain how to actually do the recording:
Using Option #1 – FreeAudioConferencing, you and your callers phone into your bridge line as usual and just follow the simple prompts to begin recording. To get the MP3 file, just go to their website and click on the link “Download Conference Recordings” at the bottom of the homepage. The company will email you your MP3 file, which you can then click on to listen to. You can also email the file to someone else, upload the file to your website, etc. You only pay for the recordings that you decide to save.
Using Option #2 – AudioAcrobat, you and your callers phone into any bridge line. Then you “patch in” the AudioAcrobat recording line. This is not difficult (if you’re familiar with the “3-Way Calling” feature from your phone company, it’s basically the same thing. Once you hang up, AudioAcrobat makes your MP3 file which will appear in the “Show My Audios” section of your account. The longer the recording, the longer it will take to show up. A one hour conference call takes about 10 minutes to appear.
